Welcome to Client Portal and Transaction Review within Digits! 

Before we dive into Client Portal and Transaction Review, you may be wondering, what is Digits? Jeff and Wayne, co-founders of Digits, realized that there was a need for more modern software to empower the finance field, small business owners and startup founders to more deeply understand their finances.

As a business owner or finance lead of a business, you already know the importance of keeping your company's finances top of mind. Your Client Portal, which includes Transaction Review, provides a singular place for you to view your financial reports, provides responses to your accountant's questions, and see the most critical financial information at a glance.

What is Transaction Review?


The process of categorizing, verifying, and reconciling transactions is slow and full of inaccuracies. Today, accountants spend significant time with clients reconciling the books and clarifying categories for transactions. We want to create a seamless flow between you and your accountant, as well as automate as much of this flow as possible. We know your time is extremely valuable! 

How do I know if I have transactions to review?

 

Digits intelligently notifies you whenever your accountant has sent over transactions to review. Most often, there will be questions from your accountant that need a quick answer and you’ll be all set! If you need to attach receipts, files or other information you’ll be able to do that as well. If you head to your client portal, you’ll be all to see any open Action Items that need your input. 

Important to note, you don’t need to create a password to use Digits. Your accountant has created an accountant you can use with Sign In via Email

How do I respond to a transaction?

From your client portal, you can open your Action Items to see what transactions your accountant needs your response.

 


After you reply, the transaction will move to “Replied” so that you can keep an eye on it, but you don’t need to do anything else at this point.
