The statement of cash flow shows the net total cash flow correctly, but it does not show the correct cash flow from operating and/or investing. It appears that the net operating cash flow is calculated by taking net income for the period and then adjusting that by the delta of balance sheet account balances to arrive at net cash flow. That is a good first step, however, more is needed to be done in order for the cash flow to be accurate. Here are some of the scenarios where this would be an issue.Assume in Year 1, the only transaction is that the business received an invoice for $100k for an equipment that they purchased and did not pay it until Year 2 and the business has zero net income. In Year 1, the only entry would be Dr. Fixed Asset $100k Cr. Accounts Payable $100k. With this scenario, would the cash flow reports here show that the Net Cash Flow from Operating as a positive $100k (zero net income plus the increase in Accounts Payable)? If yes, did this business generated $100k in
I imported a client into digits yesterday that has some cleanup work we need to do for 2022. I see the transactions are visible in search and reports, but the boost is not recommending any yet, and transaction review doesn’t let me recategorize. The transactions were all imported into qbo as uncategorized transactions. Is there delay for boost or am I doing this incorrectly?
This is a question but potentially an idea. As of right now, when I send the client portal email to a client they can log in from that link but when they try and log in a week later they are getting confused as they are never asked to set up a password or anything.Has there been any work on creating a client portal login page separate from the regular digits login. Is it also possible for the client to be forced to set up a password . As of right now the work around is for them to click the “forget password” link and then set one up which seems tedious. Thanks!
I have a client with a “Ask My Accountant” expense account and none of the transactions in that account ace showing up. I have 2 other accounts where it seems to be working perfectly but I cant figure out why this specific account isn't working. Let me know if anyone has an Idea. Thanks!
We have been waiting for several days for our first five clients to be set up in Digits. We want to use the tool, so we can roll it out to our other clients. I also need to invite my team members to the Digits account. Can you please help with this? We are excited about the tool, but we are concerned about the set up, and how little information and functionality seems to be available to get started.
Hello everyone! We’ve just launched an updated design to your portal experience to make it even easier to navigate, focus on the client at hand, and invite colleagues to Digits. To start, we’ve introduced a collapsable sidebar on the left hand side of your screen. This will be where you can see notifications, an activity feed, contact community, view your ‘Shared with me’ page, and sign out. We’ve also removed the permanent sidebar that housed all of your different clients, and replaced it with a dropdown menu at the top left of your portal. This will allow you to stay focused on one client at a time without getting overwhelmed or distracted. Within this dropdown, you’ll also see a badge with a number of work items to address for each client, so you know which accounts need your attention. This is where you’ll be able to add a new client as well. Finally, we’ve made it easier to see how many colleagues are linked to each of your clients and included a link to the settings page where you
Questions about Digits pricing are often top of mind when we chat with our amazing community. Our members are using Digits amazing tools to WOW their clients, but they can’t believe it is free to use! Over time, we’ve engaged with and learned from many of you in the community about your thoughts on pricing so that it’s sustainable to your firm and lets you grow your business. We are happy to share that as we continue to build, improve and expand Digits' offerings, we are introducing pricing to Digits. As mentioned, we want our pricing to truly unlock the growth of your firm on Digits. To that effect, we made the decision to allow for the first 5 clients on Digits to be free forever. Beginning Nov 30th, Digits is offering three additional paid plans. The details of these plans can be seen here. If you are an Admin in your Digits organization, you will see pricing details in your Accountant dashboard. As you take a look, if you have any questions not answered below, please ask us here!
A few weeks ago, we sent everyone an email letting them know that we’d be introducing pricing tiers, and how that would affect each of you. If you missed that email, please check your inbox for a note from @Michael. As of today, you’ll see a new experience within your Digits account. Our pricing tiers are based on the number of clients you link. Your first five clients will be free forever – once you add additional clients, you’ll see a prompt to upgrade to our next tier. We put together an article explaining more about this process here. Leave a comment and let us know what questions you have, or schedule a call with us here. Thank you again for being on this journey with us and for supporting Digits. Don’t hesitate to reach out with any feedback - you know we’re all ears!Lily
I had a meeting with a potential new client who is a non profit and they liked the software, and maybe I Just don’t see how yet because they aren’t my client yet, but can Digits reports be created with the non profits language? “Statement of Financial Position” and “Statement of Activity”, etc.?
The Digits team had a wonderful time at last week’s Women Who Count conference in Chicago! It was inspiring to meet so many brilliant women, and we had so much fun handing out our signature green nail polish and sharing how Digits can help supercharge your business and WOW your clients. We were honored to partner with AFWA to host a special reception for the Chapter Achievement Award winners which included endless cocktails, gourmet bites and beats provided by DJ Liz Ladoux.Digits will be hosting events like this for any chapter of AWFA that is interested! You can learn more about our partnership here. Here are a few snapshots from the conference & reception!

It has turned into fall in Rhode Island (where I live)! For myself and my family, we quickly adopt fall's wonderful assortment of delicious drinks. Our favorite fall drinks are hot chocolate for my 8 yr old, Pumpkin Chai for my wife, and a Brick Wall (Apple cider syrup, bourbon, and a splash of ginger ale) for me.What is your favorite fall drink?
Most companies show Revenue accounts above the line or Operating part of the business. I think those are what should be captured for your Sales Analysis. However, below the line there are other Income Line Items which are not really part of operations. These are also being included in your sales section. I think they should be excluded because they cloud the revenue analysis.
